Overview of School Comms

We aim to ensure our parents are a kept up-to-date with what is happening in school and to do so we use a variety of different platforms.

  • Parentmail – All letters and other correspondance will be sent out via Parentmail. Over 96% of parents receive parentmail
  • Newsletters – All Newsletters are sent via Parentmail
  • Edulink Parent App -

The Edulink Parent App provides “live” data for your child. You can access attendance data, timetables, conduct points, key information and also, in KS3, all homework tasks.

  • Facebook – We have over 2700 ‘likes’ and post pictures and reports from all aspects of school.

  • Twitter – We have 1500 followers and post pictures and quick info from all aspects of school.

Robert Bloomfield Academy Main Switchboard number is 01462 628800
Please listen carefully to the message options. Our school office hours are as follows:
Term Time Only Monday – Thursday, 8am - 4:30pm / Friday, 8am - 4pm

A reminder however, that all communication to RBA must be done so in a polite and respectful manner.  We have a highly skilled and trained staff-body who will work with all parties to ensure the best outcomes are achieved for everyone. We welcome feedback and challenge – that makes us stronger, but I will never accept rude or abusive conduct towards members of my staff.

Unfortunately, it is all too easy to take a copy of our school logo without permission and create a closed, unregulated account. I wanted to reiterate to families that anything other than the above is unofficial, an infringement on our brand identity, does not have a staff presence and is not endorsed by the school.

RBA-Enquiries@Bestacademies.org.uk can be used to contact the school. Your email will be forwarded to the most appropriate department.

In the school holidays, this email address is monitored on a weekly basis by our administration team. Naturally, we cannot guarantee an immediate response from specific members of staff. That said, all matters pertaining to safeguarding can be addressed to the following agencies, alongside RBA to ensure matters are actioned swiftly:

Central Beds Social Care referral: 0300 300 8585

Out of Hours Social Care referral: 0300 300 8123

Email: cs.accessandreferral@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk (cc’ing RBA-Enquiries@Bestacademies.org.uk)
