In light of the Government's decision to close schools except the children of key workers or children with EHCP - we have been busy finalising plans to establish what this will look like for Robert Bloomfield Academy.
We will open on Monday 23rd March from 8.30am - please note pupils should only be coming into school if you are a key worker (as per government guidelines) or your child has an EHCP and you do not have any suitable child care or safe alternative.
We have been advised by Central Bedfordshire that transport will run as normal on Monday and will be reviewed throughout the course of the week.
At this difficult time please can we ask you to refrain from making non urgent contact with the school but if you do need to contact the school then please email RBA-Enquiries@Bestacademies.org.uk, this will be manned regularly during school hours.
We wish to continue to support our families that may require pastoral or safeguarding support during this difficult time for everyone. Should you need access to pastoral support please email: email@example.com. This email address will be checked regularly and we will endeavour to respond by email, or a phone call where possible, with any advice we can offer or to signpost you in the right direction. We will still be able to liaise with outside agencies such as Health, Early Help and Children’s Services. Should you need to contact Children’s Services in an emergency or for help and advice please call: 0300 300 8585.
The pupils received full instructions of how to access online lessons that will allow them to continue their learning remotely.
We have also arranged to provide lunch provision for any pupils who receive free school meals. As a result we have partnered with several shops within all of our catchment communities to accept vouchers that we will give out to our FSM pupils. Initially this will be for a 2 week period - we will send a full list of shops tomorrow.
The identified pupils will need to report for school from 8.30am on Monday 23rd March, they should assemble on the top playground.
Whilst we have planned as best as we can please note arrangements can change as further updates are provided by the Government and the Local Authority.
Thank-you for your understanding and support through this unprecedented time.Find Out More
